The Next Chapter 📖

Starting a new chapter in life comes with a lot of mixed emotions. Being a stay home wife/mom for 10+ years, you can image what that roller coaster might be like.

The animal shelter I volunteer at received grants to offer two positions, Volunteer Coordinator & Rescue Coordinator. I sat on the thought of the Volunteer Coordinator position for quite some time. Eventually, I talked it over with my husband. Then, we both sat on this thought for a little longer. After revisiting the idea of me apply for the Volunteer Coordinator position, my husband 100% encouraged me to apply. So, I went for it! Days and weeks went by before I got an interview...I was so stinkin nervous🥴. I was very obviously nervous to the point that I internally told myself, "What is your deal?! You know these ladies! Knock it off!" Other than the initial internal and external panic, with stuttering (ugh), and one cry baby moment, the interview went well. When you've been a stay home wife/mom for so~ long, I guess weird things happen at your interview.🤷🏼‍♀️ I continued to volunteer at the shelter as I waited to find out if I got the job or not. The wait felt like a lifetime! Eventually, I was told...we'd like to offer you the job!! 🤗AAWWWW~!! This is such an exciting opportunity!! So, here I am about to start the next chapter in my life~
